A shin’nenkai (新年会) is a Japanese New Year gathering held in early January to celebrate the start of the year, build camaraderie, and set a positive tone for the months ahead.
This year's shin’nenkai was a great opportunity to get together outside of the dojo for good food, drinks, and company.
Randy Manning took the opportunity to thank everyone for making 2025 a great year for our dojo and set a positive tone for 2026.

It was an honor and pleasure to get together with friends from Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, and of course, Pennsylvania for a seminar led by Mark Hague.
MAPA was proud to support the Reigakudo's third annual training seminar in Tokyo, Japan. This year's event was well attended by both Japanese and international members from the U.S., Belgium, Italy, Germany, and Ukraine.
The seminar was an opportunity to connect with colleagues from all over the world. Dustin Acuff, Hokuto Dojo-cho, Sacramento, CA, joined a photo with members of MAPA and Yabuki Soke.
